About this guide

Samba Show Rio (sambashowrio.com) is an independent guide to samba in Rio de Janeiro: the staged samba show, live samba nights in Lapa and Pedra do Sal, samba school rehearsals, samba classes and Carnival 2027 at the Sambódromo. We are not a show producer, a samba school, Liesa, Riotur or GetYourGuide, and we are not any business that trades under the name "Samba Show Rio": the site name describes what we write about.

Facts here are checked against official and primary sources (Liesa, the league that runs the Carnival parade, and Riotur, the city's tourism office) and against the tour listings on GetYourGuide, including recent guest reviews. Show times, prices and meeting points change; when a listing and this page disagree, the listing at checkout wins.

The site is funded by affiliate commissions: when you book through a GetYourGuide link here, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That never changes what we recommend. Details on the affiliate disclosure page.
